OTOBO Partner Program – Open Source Helpdesk going for strong partnerships

Straubing/Germany, 22.03.2021 – When releasing their ((OTRS)) Community Edition fork OTOBO in early 2020, Rother OSS GmbH set out to build a 100% free open source ticket system with strong functionality and a great look – backed by a strong community.

OTOBO Partner Program now lays the formal base for close co-operation with open source companies all over the world.

The aim: To unite a strong partner community behind the open source project. “We focus on collaboration and are convinced that all parties equally benefit from it – open source project, community and partners alike,” says Stefan Rother, founder and CEO of Rother OSS. Following the EOl of OTRS 6 and official discontinuation of ((OTRS)) Community Edition until further notice, the program was explicitly opened up to partners from DACH region as well.

Starting point for the OTOBO Partner Program was the great international interest in the project. “We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and readiness to contribute that open source companies from all over the world communicated to us, when we announced OTOBO and our aim to build a strong community around it again.”

“The great feedback is showing us that we took the right decision in building a free product and putting our focus on the open source community, which is a great joy. We want to build on this momentum now to bundle forces, build an even stronger product and provide users all over the world with an opportunity to get advice from a qualified OTOBO Partner“, says Stefan Rother.

The Program addresses experienced open source companies and discerns three different Partner Levels. Interaction and close cooperation between vendor and partner community is key. Up to 100% of the membership fee can be waived if members contribute to the community and open source project. A comprehensive qualification program ensures consistent service standards. Besides, the vendor’s support team provides 3rd level support to the partners.

Official OTOBO Partners are specialised in providing business services for the open source service management system and have broad expertise in the fields of evaluation, adaptation, migration, interfaces etc. Thus, clients can expect to get high level services from OTOBO Partners regardless of where in the world they are.

OTOBO Partners can be recognised by the official OTOBO Partner logos.
They can be found in the OTOBO website partner section.
